PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING YOUR TOUR WITH ROYAL EGYPT TRAVEL LLC
The following terms and conditions apply to any tour booked with Royal Egypt Travel LLC (hereinafter referred to as “RET” “our” “us”). By booking a tour with RET, you (hereinafter referred to as, “you” “your” or “traveler”) acknowledge that you (i) understand and accept these Terms and Conditions and (ii) are entering into a contractual relationship with RET.
PRICE POLICY; TOUR DEPOSIT; INVOICING; FINAL PAYMENT
Tours are priced per person, based on shared/double occupancy. Single rooms may be available at an additional cost (review tour itinerary for details). Quoted prices are based on land-only tour packages in Egypt and do NOT include international airfare. Prior to booking, prices are subject to change without notice.
All RET tours require a non-refundable and non-transferrable deposit in order to reserve a space on a tour. Upon receipt and confirmation of the deposit, the Travel Director will provide an invoice by email which reflects tour reservation details and outstanding balance, if any. Upon receipt of the invoice, you are responsible for verifying your information and notifying RET of any discrepancies or errors. If there is an error in the billing, RET will send a revised invoice to reflect the correct pricing.
If a tour is not paid in full at the time of the space reservation, full or partial payments towards the outstanding balance can be made online at any time. Payments can be made by credit/debit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, AMEX). Visit Payments to submit. Payments may also be made by Zelle transfer, CashApp or bank wire transfer. Please references your invoice for more information.
The final payment for a tour is generally due 60-90 days prior to commencement of the tour (or as otherwise noted). Please review each specific tour for final payment due date details.
TOUR CANCELLATIONS; REFUNDS
All deposits are 100% non-refundable and non-transferrable after 14 days of the deposit being made. There are no exceptions to this policy. The remaining balance of the tour price will follow the refund/cancellation policy that is is specifically outlined in each tour package.
In the event a tour is canceled, RET will refund any amount received from you. RET may, but will have no obligation to, reschedule the tour. RET will not be responsible for any additional costs or any fees incurred by you due to the cancellation or rescheduling of a tour. The cost of airline tickets or other travel arrangements not made by RET shall be the sole responsibility of the traveler.
INSURANCE
Travel Protection plans are available and recommended to help protect you and your trip investment. Travel Protection Policies offered by most major travel insurance providers include benefits such as Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Emergency Medical and Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation, Trip Delay, Baggage Delay and more.
GRATUITIES
Gratuities MAY be included for services during certain portions of the tour. Please reference tour itinerary for details. This includes gratuities for wait staff and hospitality staff, local hosts, local guides and drivers. Gratuities for your Tour Manager are not included in the tour price and are discretionary.
NOT INCLUDED IN THE TOUR PRICE
The following charges are not included in the tour price (unless otherwise noted): airfare to and from the start of your tour; airline baggage fees including checked and/or excess baggage fees; passports; visas and vaccinations; tips to your tour director; telephone; minibar; alcoholic beverages, and food outside of the contracted RET meals; optional excursions; travel protection plans; and all other items of a personal nature.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Royal Egypt Travel tours do not include travel insurance coverage. Travel Protection plans are available and recommended to help protect you and your trip investment. Travel Protection Policies offered by most major travel insurance providers include benefits such as Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Emergency Medical and Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation, Trip Delay, Baggage Delay and more. LANGUAGE
All tour directors, local hosts and local guides utilized by RET speak English. Travelers should also be able to speak, read and understand English.
AUTHORITY TO REMOVE TRAVELERS
Travelers who are (i) considered a danger to themselves or others or (ii) have engaged in or are threatening to engage in behavior that may adversely affect the safety, security, comfort, enjoyment, or well-being of other travelers or RET representatives (including, but not limited to, behavior that is disruptive, verbally abusive, physically abusive, obnoxious, harassing, discriminatory, or obscene) or (iii) have failed or refused to following RET’s directives, recommendations, instructions, policies, or procedures, may be, at RET’s sole discretion, removed from the tour. In the event a traveler is removed, RET will not refund any portion of the price paid by the traveler. Transportation costs to return home, airline penalties, and any other expenses will be the responsibility of the traveler.
SPECIAL ASSISTANCE TRAVELERS
RET is unable to provide individual assistance to a special-needs or disabled traveler during its tours. Travelers must be able to independently partake in all activities of the tour. Any special-needs or disabled travelers should have a qualified and physically able companion to accompany and to assist them during the tour. If a traveler fails to notify RET of a disability requiring special attention when booking the tour, RET reserves the right to cancel the booking or terminate the traveler’s tour. In the event RET cancels the booking or terminates the tour, RET will not refund or cover any costs or expenses incurred by the special-needs or disabled traveler after cancellation or termination. Some activities during a tour may require travelers to engage in extensive standing, sitting, or walking and facilities or sightseeing locations may not accommodate wheelchairs. The Americans with Disabilities Act is a federal law only applicable within the U.S.; therefore, will not apply to tours within Egypt. RET will not refund or cover any cost or expense incurred by a special needs or disabled traveler for any missed activities due to the traveler’s inability to fully participate with the group.
VISAS & PASSPORTS
International travel to Egypt requires a valid passport that does not expire for a minimum of six (6) months from the date of arrival. You must also obtain a tourist visa upon arrival at the airport in Egypt (exact change is required & amount subject to change). If you are refused entry into Egypt for failing to meet any entry and/or exit requirements, RET will not be liable. All passport and visa information provided by RET is applicable to U.S. citizens only. Non-U.S. citizens must consult with the appropriate consulates to determine if any visas or other documents are needed. ACCOMMODATIONS
RET utilizes a variety of tour operators/suppliers and airline carriers for domestic air transportation, accommodations, transfers and excursions. Shared room accommodations, with twin beds, will be provided. Single room accommodations may be available at an additional charge and must be requested at the time of booking. Travelers with shared accommodations acknowledge that in the event of a cancellation by the shared occupant, Royal Egypt Travel will make every attempt possible to place the remaining traveler with another shared occupant. However, if unable to find a roommate, the remaining traveler will be responsible for the additional single room supplement. NOTE: If roommate matching service has been provided for a particular tour, the double occupancy/roommate is guaranteed.
HOLIDAYS
Certain planned activities during the tour may be unavailable if such activities fall on dates that are designated local or national holidays. In the event a planned activity is unavailable, if possible, RET will offer an alternative activity. No refund or discount will be given to travelers for events that are cancelled due to local customs.
HEALTH; SAFETY; MEDICAL INSURANCE
RET endeavors to provide a safe environment and experience for its travelers but cannot protect or guard traveler from certain risk and dangers when traveling outside of the United States. During a tour, travelers may be faced with forces of nature; political unrest; acts of lawlessness or terrorism; accidents or illnesses or other situations that may endanger the life of the traveler. RET shall not be responsible for any risks and dangers that may arise and by booking a tour with RET, you agree not to hold RET liable for any harm suffered by you during the tour. You agree to hold RET harmless regarding any provision of medical care or the adequacy of any care rendered. You must ensure that you are informed and aware of the applicable health requirements and recommended precautions relevant to the tour and that you carry all necessary vaccination documents, personal health information or personal medication. Prior to booking a tour, you should refer to U.S. Department of State’s website for travel advice and vaccination requirements.
PHOTOGRAPHS
Photographs appearing on the RET website or social media platforms are used solely as a representation or similar depiction of the possible facilities and attractions and RET travelers should not rely on those depictions. Actual facilities and attractions will vary. By booking a tour with RET, you agree to grant RET permission to use photos of you taken during the tour for use by RET on our website and social media platforms for marketing purposes only. RET may, in its sole discretion, make the pictures available to travelers as part of the tour or as an additional cost. In the event you upload your photos to the RET website/social media platforms, you grant RET license to use your photos for marketing purposes.
WI-FI
Wi-Fi connectivity may or may not be available during the tour. If available, it may be delayed, slowed, or otherwise interrupted. RET has no obligation to provide travelers with Wi-Fi connectivity during the tour.
PRIVACY POLICY
By using the RET website and booking a tour with RET, you consent to RET’s use of your personal information. You acknowledge and agree that by purchasing a tour with RET, you consent to RET transmitting your personal information to our third-party suppliers, as necessary. You acknowledge that you have reviewed and agreed with the RET privacy policy. The policy can be found on our website at Privacy Policy.
THIRD PARTY PROVIDERS
RET is an independent limited liability company acting only as an intermediary to provide travel services offered by third-party suppliers. The suppliers providing travel services are not agents, employees, servants, or joint ventures of RET. By booking a tour with RET, you agree that neither RET nor its representatives shall be liable for any damage, loss (including personal injury, death, and property loss), or expense occasioned by any act or omission of any supplier providing services. After departure, if the services included in the tour cannot be supplied or there are changes in an itinerary for reasons beyond the control of RET, depending on the circumstance, RET will take reasonable action to arrange for the provision of comparable services. Any resulting additional expense will be the responsibility of travelers.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by law, neither RET nor any of its related companies, directors, employees or agents accept any liability in contract, tort or otherwise for any claim, injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of another traveler or third party providers over whom RET has no direct control, by force majeure or by any other event which is beyond RET’s control.
GOVERNING LAW; DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Unless otherwise precluded by law, disputes or claims must be filed within three months following completion of the tour. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, and any dispute, mediation or arbitration pertaining to this agreement must take place and may be brought only in courts in Minneapolis, MN. Mediation shall be the first form of resolution for any dispute between you and RET. The mediator used shall be one selected by RET. If the dispute cannot be resolved through mediation, the parties must proceed to binding arbitration in the State of Minnesota to resolve the dispute. Arbitration proceeding shall be administered by and pursuant to the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The prevailing party shall be entitled to receive from the other party, reasonable attorneys’ fees and reasonable cost and expenses. Arbitration against RET must be arbitrated on an individual basis. Disputes shall not be arbitrated on a class action basis or on behalf of the general public. You hereby waive any right to punitive damages.
AMENDMENTS
The Terms and Conditions are subject to change. RET advises you to check the RET website for the latest version of the Terms and Conditions prior to booking your tour.
