Welcome to Cairo Egypt!! Travelers will arrive at Cairo International Airport (CAI). A Royal Egypt Travel tour manager will meet each traveler upon arrival and assist through the immigration process, proceeding forward to collect luggage at baggage claim. Your transfer from the airport to the hotel in private, air-conditioned coach is provided. The remainder of the afternoon/evening will be at your leisure.

Overnight Cairo: 2 nights

Optional Excursion:  Sound & Light Show at Giza Pyramids - VIP Ticket 

After breakfast, your tour manager will greet the group and provide an overview of the planned itinerary. After the meet & greet, we will depart for a morning excursion to Memphis and Saqqara, followed by lunch at a local restaurant in Giza. Then, we will depart for an afternoon visit to The Great Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza, with Khufu solar ship museum and camel ride included. Afterwards, we will return to the hotel with the remainder of evening at your leisure.

Optional Excursions:  Entry to Great Pyramid; Nile Cruise Dinner at Maxim Restaurant 

After breakfast, the group will depart for a morning excursion to the Egyptian Museum, the most important depository of Egyptian antiquities anywhere in the world. It features artifacts from the Pharaonic and Graeco-Roman periods, including the celebrated mummies of ancient Egypt’s king and Tut Ankh Amun treasures. After spending time browsing the museum at your own pace, the group will then depart for an afternoon flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Aswan, a memorable experience which highlights the distinct African flavor of the Nubian culture. The remainder of afternoon/evening will be at your leisure.

Overnight Aswan: 3 nights 

After breakfast, the group will depart for a morning visit to the Nubian Museum, an impressive archaeological site dedicated to Nubian culture and civilization. An Egyptologist will cover highlights of the museum and we will then have additional time to explore the museum on our own. After the museum visit, we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will have time to leisurely stroll the Aswan Souk Markets, a colorful bazaar that offers a wide variety of Egyptian and African goods, such as perfumes, peanuts, henna powder, dried hibiscus flowers, spices and other custom-made Nubian artifacts. We will also have time to visit Egyptian essence oil shops, taking time to listen to the stories of how the oils are produced and mixed to create wonderful fragrances. As the afternoon winds down, we will enjoy a Felucca sail around Kitchener Island and Agha Khan. Then, return to the hotel with the remainder of evening at your leisure. 

After breakfast, we will enjoy a full day immersion into the Nubian culture. The day includes a visit to a local Nubian village and schools, where we will spend the day learning Nubian culture, lifestyles and traditions. We will also have a villa reserved for our group to spend time with Nubian artists and musicians who will showcase their artwork and music. Nubian women will be available to share their creative henna and hair styling techniques. The day will also include a cooking class that will highlight traditional, flavorful African dishes that are unique to the region and will provide lunch/dinner options. Other activities to explore will include taking a swim on the beaches of the Nile River or lounging in a local coffeeshop. The options will be endless! After this memorable experience, we will return to the hotel with the remainder of the evening at your leisure.   

After breakfast, the group will transfer to Aswan Airport for a late morning flight to Abu Simbel. Upon arrival in Abu Simbel, we will transfer to the hotel for check-in then meet for lunch. For lunch, we will visit the house of Fikry el Kashef, a Nubian musician who plays music with his friends and hosts performances of Nubian music and dance. Our delightful lunch will feature organic produce from Fikry’s garden and fish from Lake Nasser! Towards the evening, we will visit the highlight of Abu Simbel, the Great Temple of Ramses II and the Temple of Hathor and Nefertari. Our visit will be an early evening tour that will capture the beauty of the temples with the setting sun. We will also arrange for a photographer to capture stunning photos in your colorful Egyptian and African attire! Afterwards, we will return to the hotel with the remainder of the evening at your leisure.

Overnight Abu Simbel:1 night

After breakfast, the group will transfer to Abu Simbel Airport for a flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, we will transfer to hotel, where the remainder of the afternoon will be at your leisure. We will meet in the evening for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant in Cairo.

Overnight Cairo: 1 night

Sadly, this amazing tour has come to an end! Each traveler will transfer from hotel to Cairo International Airport for return flights to the US. The tour manager will arrange airport transportation for each person based upon scheduled flight departure times.
